Teaching Philosophy

In my teaching and mentoring, my core mission is to empower students to reach their full potential. My personal approach is to foster active and collaborative learning environments, by encouraging students to share and listen to diverse perspectives and to critically evaluate the information around them.

I believe that achieving this requires both educators/mentors and students to actively engage and be open to learning from each other. This includes understanding individual learning styles and strengths.

Here are some of the key principles of my approach:

• Inclusive engagement and using differentiated instruction to ensure everyone can learn and grow, leveraging their strengths and adapting to their needs

• Collaborative learning through group discussions and peer-to-peer learning/teaching activities

• Active learning - the best way to learn is through doing! I adapt learning engagement by offering people the opportunities to recognize and utilize their strengths

• Celebrating students - I genuinely cannot describe a better feeling than celebrating each student's success and the pride they take in their own work!
